Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy applies to the Email Code Extractor browser extension. I respect your privacy and am committed to protecting it. This extension was architected with a "privacy-first" approach, meaning your data stays on your device.

1. Data Collection

Email Code Extractor does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

The extension operates entirely locally within your browser. It scans the visible text of your Gmail inbox solely for the purpose of identifying numeric verification patterns (such as "Code: 123456"). This processing happens in your computer's Random Access Memory (RAM) and is discarded immediately after use.

  • We do not have servers.
  • We do not use analytics or tracking cookies.
  • We do not read your emails other than scanning the inbox subject/snippet lines for numeric codes.

2. Permissions Usage

To function correctly, the extension requires specific browser permissions:

  • Host Permission (mail.google.com): Required to inject the script that identifies codes and adds the "Copy" button UI to your inbox rows.
  • ClipboardWrite: Required to execute the copy command when (and only when) you click the extension icon.

3. Third-Party Services

This extension does not integrate with any third-party APIs, ad networks, or data brokers. No data leaves your browser environment.
